When Two or Three Are Enough
On a Friday morning errand to Lowe’s, I heard a Jewish rabbi explain the tradition of needing ten people for certain prayers. That got me thinking about Jesus’ words in Matthew 18: “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there.” Tradition was built around the ten who feared. But Jesus points to the two who believe.
What Are You Feeding Your Mind?
I haven’t tuned out the news completely, but I have made a conscious effort to avoid the fear-driven, opinion-heavy reporting that stirs people up. It’s easy to fall into the trap of consuming negativity, and before we know it, we’re frustrated, anxious, and even angry. But Philippians 4:8 challenges us to be intentional about what we allow to shape our thoughts. So today, take a step back and ask: What am I feeding my mind?
